Irish Aero Sports Flying Club is based at Kilkenny Airfield.

We are a Registered Training Facility (RTF) and are fully approved by the Irish Aviation Authority. We provide PPL (M) flight training and aircraft hire to club members (see the training section for more information on license types). We also offer tailwheel difference training and aircraft hire to PPL (A) holders.
We are confident that, together with our modern aircraft, and friendly atmosphere, your flight training will be professional, satisfying and fun!

The Perfect Gift ...

Irish Aero Sports now offer introductory Flying lesson Gift Certificates!

Gift Certificates may be had for as little as €70.

The lesson includes a pre-flight brief with an explanation of the controls and the basics of how an aeroplane flies and a 30 minute flying lesson with a fully qualified flying instructor, flying over the breathtaking Kilkenny countryside and getting a taste of what it's like to fly an aeroplane.

The student is encouraged to participate fully during the flight and is very much a 'hands on' experience from the word Go!
